Harrisburg International AirportHonor Award

With 108,000 square feet of colored, 3/8 epoxy terrazzo floor, this installation truly captures the endless design possibilities of terrazzo that are available to artists and architects. Incorporated within the installation is over 3,000 linear feet of precast terrazzo base and 500 feet of precast treads and risers. The eye-catching logo is formed with glass mosaics made in Italy and the terrazzo formulations in the star rays surrounding the logo are of six colors  all of which are poured without the use of divider strips. 3/8 x 1/8 aluminum angle strips are used in the areas that did require dividers. With the use of domestic marble and plastic chips, the combination of colors in the terrazzo offer the traveling crowd an intricate and one-of-a-kind flooring installation.




Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport Terminal Station RenovationHonor Award

Designer/Artist: Phillip Lamb, Susan Maglow, Dan Blagg and Nancy Lamb


Four teams were commissioned to design the terrazzo floor of the eight SkyLink train stations. Susan Maglow and Phillip Lamb created a history of airplane engines and oversized Texas wildflowers. Large solid aluminum components made up the parts of the engines, which complimented the bright and colorful wildflowers in the design. Dan Blagg developed a "Spirit Walk" design, as well as a pattern that included diamonds, clouds, and rain. The pattern is described as walking in air. Nancy Lamb installed a brightly colored terrazzo floor that included designs of "birds and clocks" and "stamps and coins." Brad Goldberg created a pattern in which the West Texas topography is
